Fun Dip

Sweater- American Eagle    Shirt- Thrifted    Belt- Thrifted    Shoes- Nordstrom

I ate a Fun Dip right before I took this picture. Hence the green tongue. Fun Dips take me back to my childhood, the careless summer days of laughter and playing. Eating a Fun Dip anxiously as a reward for completing my summer jobs. I was always torn whether I wanted to eat the powder first then the stick, or as directed. Oh the simplicity of childhood. Today, I began my last semester of public school. The next semester I begin will be in an unknown town, with unknown people. It will be the beginning of a new chapter in my life. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me. So much is still a mystery, but a new adventure is just around the corner. As for the outfit, it’s different from my style. Almost a grungy look, but I always like to throw in a new style every now and then.

The Blue Garage

Dress- Thrifted   Shrug- Charlotte Russe   Belt- Thrifted   Shoes-Urban Outfitters

This is the last post from the past. I couldn’t help but share this outfit simply because I love the background. Last year while driving to Bear Lake we decided to take a different route and ended up stopping in Paris, Idaho where I saw this abandoned blue garage. I knew it had to be photographed. So this summer I planned to stop once again and take a few pictures in this red dress. I found this dress at the D.I. and it had to be hemmed, but other than that was perfect. Paired with my favorite mustard Mary Janes, this outfit just reminds me of summer. But next time we will go back to reality and I will post my winter outfits. Enjoy the weekend!

Public Transportation

Shirt- Urban Outfitters   Cardigan- J. Crew    Skirt- Anthropologie    Tights- Nordstrom

When you have nothing to do on a weekend night you might consider taking public transportation. It is very entertaining. You find people you wouldn’t meet any other place, and it takes you places you wouldn’t go otherwise. As for the outfit, this is one of my favorites. Who wouldn’t want a shirt with bikes on it topped off with a peter pan collar? It can be dressed up, or dressed down and makes any outfit more exciting. I was so excited to find this skirt, the perfect length, color and cut. It’s hard to resist wearing it everyday. Today was the last school day of the week, can’t wait for a long weekend!

The Little Girl

I have something I want to share. It has nothing to do with clothes, crafts, or anything worldly. My sister, who will be leaving home in five months made this for me as a culmination of growing up together. She is three years older, and it has always been Sara and Mindy. Inseparable. It was meant as a picture book, but here are just the pages. I hope you enjoy it!

Red

After looking over my photos from the summer, and random outfits I had photographed I realized I really liked red this summer, and especially liked the vibrant combo of red and turquoise.  The pictures make me long for the green grass and summer tan.

Shirt- J.Crew  Cardigan- Nordstrom  Shorts- Thrifted and altered

This outfit has bold colors, and because of that is simple. The color takes care of the need for detail, pattern and accessories. I love the detail on the shirt. J.Crew knows just how to take basics and turn them into excellent pieces. The shorts are my favorite part of the outfit though. I found the shorts at the D.I. and couldn’t help but love them. The vintage high-waisted look mixed with the long length makes them the perfect summer short. If only I could wear them now. Only a couple more months of long pants and boots. I can do it.

I’m back!

It’s been such a long time! I have decided to bring Clothed and Crafted back from the dead. The last post was in March and it’s crazy how much has happened since then. Luckily I won’t be going through every event. Just the big ones. Junior year had many crazy adventures in it, such as running for SBO, making my Prom dress, and auditions for our school musical and top singing group. It was amazing to see how doors closed and new ones opened, and my senior year couldn’t be more perfect for me. The summer was filled with sun, popsicles, sunburns, family, friends and many memories!

On August 24, 2011 my brother got married. It was beautiful day, and everything turned out perfectly! It just made me so excited for my own wedding to plan down to the smallest detail. It could be sooner than I think.

Senior year has been perfect. I was asked to be Homecoming chair, and it was a big undertaking but I loved it. Planning, delegating and bossing people around. The perfect job for me. It was stressful, and every event had rain, but  I was happy with the final product. I also was an orphan in Annie, our school musical and created so many lasting friendships and memories. The moment that ended, ensemble began. With practices everyday, then performances everyday, my life was singing and performing. It was great, but couldn’t be happier it is over. Life is great. I am excited to share new outfits and projects in the future!

Finale!

So here it is, all of the outfits. (minus eight) It is pretty amazing how different they are all. I felt like I was wearing the same thing every day, but when you put them side by side, they really don’t look that similar. My analysis of 30 for 30: I felt like it really wasnt hard. After it was all over I almost felt overwhelmed with all of the choices, and felt my outfits were better with few choices. I got a lot better at finding a way to make the outfit pop using accessories. If I were to do it again, I would have more cardigans and less shoes. My favorite item is the pink cardigan and my favorite outfit is definitely number 7. What is your favorite outfit?
